I'm Belle

Hey there, thank you for taking the time to stop by my store! I'm Belle, the creator and artist behind Happy Cactus!

I love plants (especially cacti), animals, and nature, and I spend my free time watching anime, doing crochet, and of course creating beautiful artwork!

Vision

My vision is to use the power of art to bring happiness and aesthetics to my fellow millenial's every day lives, so everyone can embrace the spiky side of life.

My Story

Like many millenials, the world I grew up in and the one I was promised are very different to the world we live in today.

I often find myself getting overwhelmed about most aspects of trying to live: cost of living crisis, trying to be eco-friendly when cost allows, the state of the housing market. I often wonder "what will my future look like if this is what life is like in my 30s?".

After experiencing repeated burnout and loss, I turned to art again for comfort. I needed a new phone case and decided to use my art for my own design for it, and through this I realised how much happiness it brought me to have this pretty 'thing'.

I wanted to be able to share this happiness with others, and decided to pursue my career in art - producing cute artworks and illustrations for every day objects, so others can experience the same little bits of joy to brighten up their days. And thus, Happy Cactus was born - encouraging everyone to Embrace The Spiky Side of Life!

Having a favourite mug that makes you smile every morning can be the little bit of happiness you need to start your day off right, or having a new notebook that brings joy when you scribble in it might be just what you need.
